Doesn’t a trip to the beach sound just divine? How about a week-long vacation at a beach house in the sunshine state? I know what you’re thinking: sounds perfect, and pricey.

But it doesn’t have to be. If you plan your trip right, and hit the right destination spots, you can have a fun, and affordable trip to the Florida coast.

While a trip to one of the busier resort towns like Miami, Key West, or Fort Lauderdale, might be a bit out of your price range, there are plenty of beautiful beaches and tourist towns that come with just as much fun and excitement, but with a lower price tag.

For an affordable vacation, rent a beach house in Cocoa Beach, or Ormond Beach during your trip to Florida.

According to a recent article by TripAdvisor, both Cocoa Beach and Ormond Beach in Florida, were named to the top list of ‘29 Super Affordable Vacation Rental Destinations You Need to Visit.’

These destinations are home to lots of vacation properties, and offer low prices for rentals. In Ormond Beach, a family can rent a two-bedroom house located right on the beach, for as little as $861 for a week-long stay, according to TripAdvisor.

In Cocoa Beach, the same accommodations would go for just a bit more at $905 for a week-long vacation.

Considering the close location to the water, and the lofty accommodations, the cost is wonderfully low.

But let me guess, you don’t know much about either of these great destinations…

Well, I’ll give you a quick preview of what you can find in each resort town:

Ormond Beach

This little resort town is too often overlooked. It is a great destination spot for families, considering the open beaches, with little to no crowds, perfect for young ones to play and adults to relax in peace. Here you can find great golf courses, and other fun attractions like cute shops and restaurants to visit. For a break from the beach, visitors can take day trips to explore the Tomoka State Park, or even venture outside of the town to a trip to Daytona Beach to see the Daytona International Racetrack, located less than 6 miles south of Ormond Beach. The short 20 minute drive from Daytona makes it a perfect resort town near the excitement of a bigger beach, but still offers the peaceful scene that a beach vacation should be.

Cocoa Beach

Another underrated vacation spot is Cocoa Beach, a quaint little coastal town featuring beachfront vacation properties, unique attractions, and an awesome fishing pier. Cocoa Beach makes for the perfect family vacation with the shops and dining at the boardwalk, the great beaches, and the many places to visit nearby like the Brevard Zoo, the Kennedy Space Center, and more. Located just about an hour outside of Orlando, a trip to the theme parks is the perfect day trip, without having to spend the entire week in the chaos and spend all the money. In Cocoa Beach, you will get the perfect quaint little beach front property to rent, which is close to the busy and bustling resort towns, to enjoy a fun yet relaxing vacation and get the best of both worlds.

As you can see, each of these destinations make for unique and fun vacation spots your family could use, and can afford with a low budget. Keep these spots in mind to rent a beach house for your next trip. Plan soon though, you never know when these underrated resort towns will start seeing the attention they deserve!
