If you do not have any spring break plans and they are mainly because you are dealing with a low budget is year, there are a few places that you can check out without having to spend too much money overall. Although you may be longing to visit somewhere exotic, there are plenty of great locations that you can visit within the country during spring break. If you live around the area, you could easily drive to some of these places to save some extra money – of course, for the most part; these are also locations, which can be flown to for a small amount of cash as well.

Atlantic City

This is a nice option whether you are going for a week long getaway or even just a day trip. Although the weather can be pretty chilly during this time of year, the beach is always a beautiful place to visit. The area has a lot to offer in terms of happy hour and nightlife options. Of course, March 3-9 is also the ‘Atlantic City Restaurant Week’ which is when you can experience some of the best of culinary experiences available. Another unique experience is that you can pay $25 ride horseback down the beach.

Baltimore, MD

Although most people probably do not realize it, Baltimore is really an underrated vacation spot. It’s known for having great Italian food and excellent crab cakes. There’s a great view throughout the city and the weather is generally enjoyable. You can enjoy the harbor over at the Baltimore Inner Harbor and grab some great seafood while you are in the area. You can also visit the National Aquarium.

New York City

It goes without saying that New York is one of the best places that you can visit at almost any point of the year. You can easily visit this great city without having to spend too much money. Hotel rooms around spring break can be found for a little under $100 a night. You should spend time here searching for sushi, pizza, and checking out the Empire State Building. You can also v visit the Bronx Museum of the Arts or the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Pocono Mountains

If you really love the overall experience of nature, you might want to check out the Poconos. The area is filled with bed and breakfasts, extreme sports locations, and tons of fun events throughout the period of spring break. Additionally, if you’re a huge fan of St. Patrick’s Day, there are endless amounts of celebrations within the area and even an Irish Festival that’s truly worth checking out. Ski slopes are generally open during this time and there’s also the 11th Annual Chili and Wing Cook Out, which is a great place to visit if you’re looking to get a lot of food for a small amount of money.
